SSD or hard drive: which should I buy?
Choose a portable SSD if you edit video, move big files often or carry your drive around. SSDs are much faster and have no moving parts. Choose a portable hard drive if you mainly need lots of affordable storage for backups.
Which enclosure fits my drive?
Check your drive's type. M.2 NVMe drives need an NVMe enclosure, M.2 SATA drives need a SATA enclosure, and 2.5-inch laptop drives need a 2.5-inch enclosure. Each product page lists what it supports.
Will it work with my Mac, PC, PlayStation or Xbox?
Our enclosures work with Windows, macOS and Linux. For consoles, check that your console supports external USB storage.

Why does my 1TB drive show about 931GB?
That's normal. Manufacturers count 1TB as 1,000 GB, while Windows counts in binary units, so it displays a smaller number.
